A Kenyan wedding is often two days of work for the families: the ceremony, then a reception where everyone eats, dances and makes speeches. Our wedding decor packages dress the reception side, and they can dress a garden ceremony too. Each one brings a tent sized to your guest list, dressed tables with napkins and charger plates, seating, fresh-flower centrepieces, a buffet table, a welcome stand and a balloon backdrop with your names. They come in three levels. Simply Dressed covers all of that with dressed chairs. Styled & Themed switches to white Chiavari chairs and adds an entrance arch and a white board stage for the couple. Signature brings Ella Luxe, Jade or Rustic chairs, a B-Line tent, gold or silver cutlery, water goblets and tall flowers.
Wedding decor prices in Kenya: what ours cost
For a hundred guests, Simply Dressed is KSh 85,200, Styled & Themed KSh 104,800 and Signature KSh 279,300. Two hundred? That is the largest size a package comes in, and the same three cost KSh 152,600, KSh 185,500 and KSh 511,000. Our crew puts everything up, takes it down after the last dance and collects it, and that labour is already inside every figure on this page. Transport is not. It appears as its own line, worked out from the distance between our warehouse and your venue. A 50% deposit holds the date; the balance clears before we unload. Above two hundred guests, or for a mix the packages do not offer, ask for a custom package and we quote it item by item.
Ceremony, ruracio and reception
Kenyan law knows five kinds of marriage: civil, Christian, customary, Hindu and Islamic, as the Marriage Act of 2014 sets out. Plenty of couples hold more than one celebration. If the families are meeting first for the dowry, that day has its own set-up, with tents for both sides and seating for the elders: see our ruracio packages. For the wedding day, tell us whether the vows happen at the same place as the reception. A garden ceremony can share the tent, chairs and flowers; a church service elsewhere means two addresses and two drops on the quote.
Light, rain and the venue
Receptions run past dark, and in Nairobi the sun sets between about twenty past six and ten to seven all year. Signature from seventy guests brings festoon lights over the tables, and the biggest sizes add a chandelier. For the other two, lighting can be added to the quote. Our tents are waterproof, though no tent is a promise against a storm, so on a rainy-season date choose a site with some slope for water to run off. Ask the venue, or the estate, whether tents and a set-up crew are allowed and at what time we can arrive. That permission sits with you, and it is the one call worth making early.
Making it yours
Choose a colour story when you book: white and gold, blush and ivory, sage and white. Fresh flowers and balloon shades shift a little from batch to batch, so the finished tables will be very close to the colours you picked rather than an exact match to a screen. Want a hexagon tent instead of the standard one, more fresh flowers, or a bigger stage? Each can be added on the quote. If you want us to coordinate the day rather than only set it up, say so; what we take on is whatever the quotation states.
