The event setup, item by item
Here is what arrives for an event booked at this level. A tent, sized to the guest count: a canopy or a draped high-peak tent. One dressed chair per guest. Dressed tables, one for every ten, each laid with napkins, charger plates and a fresh-flower centrepiece. Buffet tables dressed and waiting for the caterer, a cake table, a welcome stand with your event’s name at the entrance, and a balloon backdrop with the words you send us. Our crew sets it up before your guests come and takes it down after.
Corporate days and graduations
For a company, this is the package that turns a car park or a lawn into a venue for a staff day or a client lunch, with the event’s name on the welcome stand and the backdrop. It is a corporate event setup without the hotel bill. For a family, it is the classic outdoor graduation party setup at home: the graduate’s name and class on the board, the tent on the lawn, a long buffet. Graduation days come in waves. When the University of Nairobi held its 70th ceremony in December 2023, it presented 5,744 graduands on one Friday. Book as soon as your date is announced. Prices for an event setup
Ten guests costs KSh 25,600. Fifty costs KSh 48,600. At a hundred and fifty, KSh 118,000; at two hundred, the top size, KSh 152,600. Spread across the guests, a bigger event costs far less per head than a small one. Set-up, take-down and collection are in the price. Transport is added from the distance, and a 50% deposit holds the date.
Do you provide the venue?
No. We dress yours. That can be a home garden, a church compound, a school field or an office car park, wherever there is flat ground for the tent and permission for a crew to work. Getting that permission, and any county or estate approval, is the host’s side of the job. Power for lights or music is yours to arrange too.
Getting the ground ready
An outdoor party setup goes smoothly when three things are sorted before the truck arrives. Flat ground: the tent needs a level patch big enough for the tables and a walkway, so tell us about any slope or soft flowerbed. Access: our truck has to get reasonably close, so tell us about narrow gates, steep drives or a gate guard who needs a name. Time: say when the venue opens to us and when guests are due. If the space is a school field or a church compound, ask the caretaker to keep it clear that morning. Those answers go straight into the quote, so the crew knows exactly what to bring and how long to allow.
When to choose a higher package

What does an event set-up include?
A tent sized to your guests, dressed chairs and tables, flowers on every table, buffet tables, a cake table, a welcome stand and a balloon backdrop, set up and collected by our crew.
Do you provide the venue?
No. We set up at your venue, garden or compound; permission for the tent and the crew is yours to arrange.
Is the tent included in every package?
Yes, sized to your guest count. Simply Dressed and Styled & Themed come with a canopy or a draped high-peak tent — your choice, same price. Signature uses a B-Line tent.
What is the difference between the three packages?
Simply Dressed seats everyone on dressed chairs at dressed tables, with fresh flowers, a customised balloon backdrop, a welcome stand and a cake table. Styled & Themed adds white Chiavari chairs, a balloon arch at the entrance and a white board stage. Signature brings designer chairs (Ella Luxe, Jade or Rustic), a B-Line tent, gold or silver cutlery with water goblets, tall flower centrepieces, a décor arch, a customised stage and a styling cart.
What if my guest count is between sizes — say 65?
Packages come in sizes of ten, from 10 to 200 guests. Type your exact number and we price the next size up (70 for 65), and show you that we did. Your exact number goes on your quote.
Can I choose the colours and the wording?
Yes. The balloon backdrop is customised for you — pick a palette on this page or describe your own, and give us the words to put on it.
Can I add more, or swap something?
Yes. Add the package, then tap Customise: the Quick Builder opens over the page with your package in it, and you can add lighting, more tables, entertainment or anything from the hire range.
How do I confirm my booking?
A 50% deposit of the quoted total confirms the booking and reserves your date, the equipment and the crew. Until that deposit is received and confirmed, items stay available to other customers — a quotation, a WhatsApp conversation or a provisional date does not hold stock. Payment is by M-Pesa or the method shown on your quotation. A payment screenshot is not treated as cleared until we have received and verified it.
Is transport included in the price?
No, and we say so everywhere rather than hiding it. Transport is quoted as a separate line item, calculated from the distance between our Waiyaki Way warehouse and your venue and the size of truck the booking needs. Nothing about it is hidden — you see the figure on your quotation before you pay anything. It can also depend on the number of trips, road and access conditions, loading requirements and collection time.
Is setup and teardown included in the price?
Yes. Our own crew delivers, sets up, dismantles and collects, and that labour is included in the hire price. What is charged separately is the mileage — see the transport clause. You do not need to wash or clean anything before collection; ordinary cleaning is included.
Can I change my order after paying the deposit?
Yes, and the earlier the better — please give us at least 48 hours where you can. Additions are subject to what is in stock and are invoiced separately; last-minute additions are never guaranteed. Reductions are where it gets more complicated: once we have committed stock, crew and transport to your event, a reduction of more than 10% may not reduce the price proportionally, and customised items already made cannot normally be cancelled.
